Sexual Behavior Treatment
At Vesta Counseling Services, I provide specialized, evidence-based treatment for individuals with problematic sexual behaviors, including sexual offenders and abusers. My approach emphasizes modern, research-supported methods to deliver consistent and effective outcomes tailored to the unique needs of each client. My treatment plans are carefully designed to address each client’s specific challenges and are continuously monitored to ensure behavioral progress and long-term success.
Services Include:
Comprehensive Risk Assessments: Thorough evaluations to identify risk factors and guide personalized treatment plans.
Intensive Individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Focused sessions to address underlying behaviors and thought patterns.
Self-Control Techniques: Practical tools and strategies to promote accountability and behavioral change.
Trauma Informed Care: Whereas CBT is the current primary standard for problem sexual behavior treatment, I also utilize an eclectic approach that uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) to address trauma.
As a clinical member of the Connecticut Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders (CATSO), the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), and a member of the Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), I am highly qualified in the assessment and treatment of individuals with problematic sexual behaviors.
Commitment to Community Safety and Collaboration
I prioritize community safety in all aspects of our work. This includes collaborating with other service providers, community agencies, and the criminal justice system to create a comprehensive response to sexual abuse and offending behaviors. I am committed to staying at the forefront of treatment advancements to ensure effective, up-to-date services.
