Vesta Counseling Services is a premier private practice established in 2014. I, Eva Spijkers, LMFT have a passion for assisting clients in understanding and addressing sexual dysfunction and treating problematic sexual behavior. I have dedicated my career to promoting overall sexual health and personal growth in a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment.

I am an active clinical member of the Connecticut Association for the Treatment of Sexual Offenders (CATSO, the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA) and a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).

I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University and am currently a doctoral student in the Human Sexuality program at the California Institute of Integral Studies, to further my expertise in the field. I am a devoted advocate for diversity and inclusivity, serving the LGBTQ+ and polyamorous communities and offering kink-affirming care. My clinical style combines professional expertise with a casual demeanor, creating a friendly atmosphere that fosters a comfortable environment to facilitate meaningful personal growth.

I have an eclectic approach to therapy and use a blend of psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
